Keto Lifestyle

After finding out I had to lose 20 pounds in three months I decided to go on Keto. When I am given a challenge like this I am one who will go the extra mile and do everything in my power to achieve it. 
My doctor put me on Metformin which would help regulate my insulin, but if I did not eat in a more healthy way it could make me really sick. So I decided to change my eating life style. 
After I got home from the doctor's appointment I was devastated. I always knew my weight was not healthy but hearing it from someone that I needed to lose weight to have a baby was so hard on me. I immediately went home and called my mom. She had no clue we were trying up to this point... (we wanted it to be a surprise). She helped me calm down and immediately got to work helping me meal plan. My mom had been on keto for 2 years at this point. So she helped show me they way. She has been everything to me through this change in my lifestyle. If I even consider cheating She helps talk me out of it. 
It was so hard at first. I missed eating crumbl every week. When coworkers brought snacks they always had a lot of carbs. It took a lot of will power which I did not know I had. Now I am able to say no thank you. I am prepared with snacks or treats that I can have and still stay with in my diet. 
The first week was actually not too bad. I found a couple recipes and was all good. I was seeing immediate results. I think I lost 5 pounds that first week. I stayed really strong the entire first month. I lost about 10 to 15 during that entire time. I was so proud of my self! Then I started to struggle to lose weight. 
I was also seeing a weightloss specialist. She told me that is normal and to persevere. I did, and I was amazed at the results! I was feeling better, I was losing weight and inches! I did all of this without working out!
I have had many ups and downs with this diet. But it has now been six months! I have lost a total of 40 pounds! I am one pound away from being below 200! I am down two pant sizes!

 I am getting body healthy so that I am ready for my future child! This is for them! Which is my motivation to do this! If you are looking for something to motivate yourself find it! Without motivation something like this is a lot harder.
